FOLKLORE Fashion Floristry Shoot

FOLKLORE Fashion Floristry Shoot

Project Overview

FOLKLORE is an original editorial concept created by Your London Florist, exploring the relationship between fashion, floristry and sculpture. Inspired by Danish photographer Ken Hermann's Flower Men series, the project reimagines seasonal flowers as wearable works of art, celebrating the craftsmanship and creativity at the heart of contemporary floral design.

The Brief

Developed as an in-house creative project, FOLKLORE was designed to push the boundaries of traditional floristry and showcase flowers as a medium for fashion and storytelling. Our vision was to create wearable botanical pieces that felt as though they belonged on a couture runway, drawing inspiration from the textures, movement and natural beauty of the British spring landscape.

Our Floral Approach

Working from hand-built chicken wire structures, we constructed an oversized floral cloak and sculptural hat using layers of moss, ferns, fresh British spring flowers and foraged natural materials. Every element was carefully considered to create pieces that felt both dramatic and organic, balancing sculptural form with the softness and movement of seasonal botanicals.

The Result

FOLKLORE reflects the creative direction of Your London Florist and our passion for producing original concepts that blur the boundaries between floristry, fashion and art. The project demonstrates how floral design can move beyond decoration to become a powerful storytelling medium, opening opportunities for collaborations across fashion, editorial, luxury brands and creative campaigns.
